Hi there! It’s so good to be back. I have missed you!
Over the holidays (that feels like a very long time ago!) I came up with a new feature for the blog: Art 10 Ways. Here’s how it works:
- Download and print the 10 Ways pages I made for you. They have 10 empty frames to inspire you. I did 2 different pages so you can mix it up! I also made them so they can be used in portrait or landscape orientation. The links are at the bottom of this post.
- When I announce a new subject, you can visit my Pinterest page where I have saved between 40-50 images to inspire you. Or you can Google the subject and find images that make you want to do art.
- Draw or paint or mixed-media your way to 10 versions of the subject. I try to do things that are outside my comfort zone, as well as that look different from each other. The goal is to try something new and stretch your creative muscles! Feel free to exactly copy the images you found (just don’t try to pass them off as your own creations) or make some adjustments or just do something similar. I’ve done all three. This is just a creativity exercise to help us expand our vision and abilities.
- Share your art on our Facebook page or Instagram with the hashtag #art10ways. Be sure to leave encouragement for others when you do!
So, without further ado, here’s our first ever Art 10 Ways!
Let’s draw/paint/mixed-media some owls!
