This is by far the most popular of my paintings. I painted and gave away several of this one before making copies to sell of this version. I call it “Names of Jesus” because the four quadrants represent four things the Bible says about Jesus.

In the top left, we have flames representing Jesus, the Light of the World. (They could also represent the Holy Spirit.)

In the top right, leaves represent Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life.

The bottom right is water for Jesus, the Source of Living Water.

And the bottom left is a representation of His blood destroying evil: Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

On a side note, I was able to give the portrait of my father-in-law to my mother-in-law last week and she loved it. Whenever someone cries as they look at something you’ve painted, you can be fairly sure you did a good job. Either that or you should quit painting! But she said she loved it, so I had confirmation.
